Dr. Geeta Gautham

Background:

Dr. Geeta Gautham is an accomplished dentist owner of Humber Valley Dental who always had a passion to serve people through a career in healthcare that brought her to Toronto. She graduated with Honours from the University of Toronto Dental Program and was awarded the Kenneth Powell Award for academic excellence in recognition of her commitment to learning and excellence. Geeta has pursued continuing education in various speciality services like Implant Dentistry, Periodontal Surgery, Cosmetic Dentistry and Dentistry for children including the use of sedation. She completed a residency program in Implant dentistry in Atlanta Georgia after which she was awarded The Associate Fellow Award by the American Academy of Implant dentistry. Her commitment to continuing education was recognised by the American Academy of General Dentistry where she was awarded the Fellowship Award in 2014. Dr. Geeta is also a certified Invisalign Platinum Provider.

Leader:

Dr. Geeta moved to the Bolton area to join Humber Valley Dental in 2006 and has been fundamental in expanding the services that were provided at the clinic. With her innovative approach and commitment, the clinic grew from a 5-member team to 15-member Multidisciplinary team of dental professionals who serve the community with a vision to make Dentistry, Patientcare and Customer service their prime priority so people feel good about coming in to see them and also referring their friends and family to them.  

Community involvement:

Service to the community was what brought Dr. Geeta to first pursue Dentistry and she has strived hard to give back to the local community with sponsoring many local events. The highlights of this are Humber Valley Dental award for local high school graduates, Mouthguard clinic to support Caledon Community services, Thanksgiving food drives and candy exchange program to support local foodbanks and financial support for local sports teams for elementary school children. She is actively volunteering her services at a Toronto based Volunteer Dental Clinic for immigrants and low-income families and has also volunteered overseas in Dominican Republic.

Passions and interests:

Dr. Geeta Gautham’s passion is to work with each patient to find the right dental care solution that is best suited for their individual needs and lifestyle by incorporating the latest techniques and technology in a calm and compassionate environment. 

When she is not serving her patients or volunteering, she loves to cook and hangout with her teenage children Avishka and Anjana and their family dog” Maple”
