Like any dental procedure, your dental implant journey starts with a consultation with our dental team. We examine your mouth during your consultation to determine whether dental implants suit you. We also evaluate your jawbone’s health to establish whether it can support an implant.

Your dental implant treatment involves the steps below:

• Preparatory procedures: If you have an insufficient jawbone, you must undergo bone grafting to restore lost bone tissue. Tooth extraction is also necessary for severely decayed or damaged teeth to create space for an implant
• Implant surgery: After numbing your mouth, we place a titanium post precisely in your jawbone. We then place a healing cap and suture the surgical site to commence healing
• Healing period: We leave your implant for four to six months to allow healing and integration with the jawbone
• Abutment placement: After healing, a minor surgical procedure is conducted to attach an abutment, which connects your implant to the restoration. This procedure typically requires approximately two weeks to heal
• Crown restoration: Our lab technician uses your bite impressions to craft a bespoke crown, denture, or bridge to restore your teeth. Once we restore your implant, you’ll leave our office with a brand-new smile that looks, feels, and functions like your natural teeth
